Jake, looking forward to Hannah coming home for his 12’th Birthday next week

 

Jake, today, looking forward to Hannah coming home for his Twelfth Birthday next week. Jake has been such an incredibly faithful dog, a gentleman in every way. We bought him for Hannah when she was only ten years old. Together they won the Obedience Championship in 4H, then High in Trial German Shepherd at the Spokane Dog Show as they competed for his CD, then on to his CDX, for which they got one or two legs, a JJ-N title in Agility, a BH title in Schutzhund, a Rally Novice Title, and his International Championship. The perfect dog to grow up beside you.
I am going to confess something. To get this picture, I called her name. It breaks my heart to see the expectation in his eyes as he looks up the steps for her arrival. He was on a sit-stay or he might have moved. But she will be here soon and then I won’t feel guilty anymore for calling her name. These dogs, they have so much heart, there is nothing quite like the love of a dog.
