Valiant encapsulates our goal of a dog a burglar will run from, but a child can hug. He is a big tough boy with a calm inner center. He is actually a very caring dog. Yet, at the same time he is quite the intimidating protector. His work in Protection is coming along well with strong, solid, calm grips. For Obedience, he has the willingness to please that we adore. His tracking is focused and steady. It is a delight to be working him in Schutzhund towards his IPO titles.
On his sire side, Valiant’s lineage goes back to some of the dogs we value in our own pedigrees: All vom Osterburg Quell and Lord Gleisdreieck, strong DDR dogs. His dam, who is herself a Service Dog, comes from hard core working dogs from Germany.
Not only is Valiant strong and beautiful, but his power is sensible, his demeanor kind, his willingness to respond to my voice, endearing.
