Our Foundation Dogs
For twenty years now, we have been breeding fine German Shepherd Dogs. What separates a Breeding Program from simply “breeding dogs” is that a Breeding Program is constantly working toward an ideal, testing dogs to see how they contribute to that ideal, and checking progeny for Health and Temperament over time by keeping in touch with Puppy Families. At some point, certain dogs stand apart. Not only are they great in and of themselves, but their progeny have performed in Character and Health. These are the rare and sought after dogs, the dogs that make the Foundation of a quality breeding program. Here are our Foundation Dogs, the dogs to look for in each of our Pedigrees.

NATIONAL CHAMPION KANAS KENEI VAN DEN HEUVEL SCHI, BH, CD, CDX , SEARCH AND RESCUE DOG, H.O.T. “HERO” Handler owned, trained, and titled, son of the legendary Norbo Ben Ju, exemplifies his sire’s structure and working drives. His lines through both his dam, Exa Z Esagilu, and Norbo are 100% working Czech, with strong DDR backing. Hero is a dog of incredible heart and devotion, good with children and with other animals. With endless drive for the ball or tug, no hesitation on variable surfaces, a gusto that is pure delight, he has what I consider the ideal working ability. Hero’s coloring and coat type is Red Sable, standard coat.

INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION CARDINAL VOM SPARTHOF RN, RA, CD, THDN, CGC, H.O.T. Handler owned, trained, and titled, imported from the Ukraine, grandson to VA1 Zamp Vom Thermodos SCH III is magnificently handsome in structure as well as temperament. He is playful, yet calm, dignified, and incredibly loyal, one of those magnificent dogs who can do both Protection Work and Therapy. Look for Cardinal in the pedigree of many of our beautiful dogs. Cardinal’s coloring and coat type is black and red saddle back, long coat.

Handler owned, trained, and titled, combines the DDR look of his sire, Dagger, grandson to Lord Gleisdreieck with the strong Czech pedigree of his dam, Quitta. With his far reaching trot, Jake glides as he moves. Ever at our little daughter’s side, Jake is being trained by her in obedience and agility. His temperament is gentle, loyal, and calm. (2016, Jake is still with us, though now age twelve, he is retired from the breeding program). Jake’s coloring and coat type is Red Sable, standard coat.

INT’L CH ARGUS MAXIMUS VON HOFFNUNG SEARCH AND RESCUE DOG, H.O.T. “MAX” Handler owned, trained, and utilized on searches, our beautiful son of Tag and Dagger, followed in his mother, Tag’s, footsteps as our Search and Rescue Dog, on call with the Sheriff’s Departments of both Washington and Idaho. With a flash of red, Max would bound off to find the lost with a work ethic not soon to be forgotten. Max’s coloring and coat type is Red Sable, long coat.

V IMO VOM WERRAUFER SCHIII, FH, “STRONGHEART” our magnificent stud dog imported from Germany, a rare V rated “select” solid black German Shepherd. Strongheart added his strong nerve and tremendous hip health to our breeding program.
